The story
Hello, I'm
I'm a San Diego-based photographer who believes that the best photographs aren't staged — they're caught. The nervous laugh before the first look. The way your grandmother reaches for your hand. The quiet moment between the two of you when the world falls away.
My style lives somewhere between film photography and modern editorial: warm, cinematic, and deeply personal. Golden hour is my love language. Coastal California is my backyard. And authentic emotion is always the goal.
I started Wylder Photography after the birth of my son — whose middle name is Wylder. Holding him for the first time, I understood something new about the weight of a moment. About how quickly time moves. About why it matters so much to freeze the ones that count.
That's what I bring to every session. Whether it's your wedding day, your growing belly, your family running wild on the beach — I want to give you photographs that still make you feel something twenty years from now.
I never force a pose. I give you prompts, tell you to look at each other, and step back while the real magic happens.
Every image is thoughtfully composed and edited — think film-inspired tones, warm light, and timeless color grading.
I'm always watching, always ready. The image that lives in the background of a scene is often the one you'll treasure most.
A little more about me
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me chasing my son around the house, exploring new trails near San Diego, or watching the sun melt into the Pacific Ocean from a blanket on the beach.
I'm deeply passionate about sustainability, small-batch film, and showing up as your full self — messy, wild, and beautifully imperfect.
I believe the right photographer doesn't just capture your day — they hold space for it. I am honored every single time someone trusts me with their most important moments.
Work With MeThe name
"Wylder is my son's middle name. When he was born, the world got bigger and softer and more urgent all at once. I named this business after him because every time I pick up my camera, I carry that same feeling — that these moments matter, that love is worth documenting, and that the wild, unscripted ones are always the best."
